| Day 9 /
Copenhagen to Kalmar (Sweden) |

| Our way to
Sweden leads us to the new giant bridge across the
'Oresund' to Malmö (Sweden). After a break in that
friendly town we continue to Lund, where we visit the
12th century Dome (cathedral) and see the famous
astronomical clock with its carillon. In the afternoon we
arrive at our campground in Kalmar. |

| Day 10 /
Kalmar to Växjö |
|
| This morning a local
guide shows us the magnificent Kalmar castle. Then we are on our way
through Smaland where we see fertile farmland, stands of timber
and tidy rural villages. This is the county which is well
known for its glass blowing technique. We visit one of
the oldest glassworks and watch a demonstration of that
ancient art. At noon we host a typical Swedish lunch.
From this area also many emigrants left for America in
the 19th century. In the 'Utvandrarnas Hus' museum in
Vaxjo we will learn a great deal about that time. It also
includes the Swedish Emigrant Institute with its
excellent archives. |

| Day 11 /
Växjö to Kolmaden Our scenic drive leads us through
beautiful countryside and small villages. Pippi Long
Stocking and the Children of Bullerbu may cross our way
when we stop in Vimmerby, the hometown of Astrid Lindgren

| Day 12/
Kolmaden to Stockholm |
|
| This morning we arrive in
Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, built on 14 islands between Lake Malär
and the Baltic. At noon our bus picks us up for a
sightseeing tour of the historical treasures of this
beautiful city. |

| Day 13 /
Stockholm |
|
| In the
morning we visit the magnificent Vasa ship museum,
the afternoon is free for your own exploration. |

| Day 14 /
Stockholm to Rättvik/Lake Siljan |
|
| This
morning we visit the famous castle of King
Gustav Vasa 'Gripsholm' which is beautifully situated at
Lake Mälar. Then we have a fun ride on an old narrow gauge steam train.
Our European motorhome tour takes us then through
the attractive scenery of southern Dalarna to
Lake Siljan where we invite you to a tasty Swedish
dinner. |

15/ Rättvik to Lillehammer (Norway) |
|
|
| The only
place where the original wooden Dalarna Horses - the
symbol of Sweden - are made, is the little village of
Nusnäs. We visit the factory and see how these unique
horses are carved and painted by hand. Then we stop in the little town
of Mora and visit the finishing-post of the 'Vasalopet' ski run. In the afternoon
we arrive in Lillehammer (Norway), well known for the
Winter Olympics in 1994. |

Lillehammer to Gol |
|
| In the
morning an expert explains to us the outstanding
collection of ancient Gudbrandsdal farm houses, a church,
workshops and much more in the Maihaugen Open Air Museum.
After that we drive a scenic route to the little town of
Gol. |

Day 17 / Gol to
Ovre-Eidfjord Today we drive along the
'Fairy-Tale-Road' and see a wide variety of Norway's
scenery. Enroute we visit the spectacular Voringfoss
Waterfall before our route descends from about 4100 feet
to 300 feet. In the Information Center of the adjacent
Hardangervidda Plateau Nature Reserve we'll learn about
the diversity of flora and fauna in this region.
