Join us on a 36 day RV vacation through  
  France, Spain & Switzerland

Day 1:

Flight USA to Frankfurt, Germany   (Flights not included, Depart USA: August 11th, 2007/Arrival Germany: August 12th)

 
  Day 2:  
  We will pick you up at the airport and accompany to our comfortable hotel. In the afternoon you will meet your fellow caravanners at our first briefing. Then we’ll have our delicious welcome dinner.  
     
  Day 3:  
After breakfast  we pick up the rental motorhomes. We will have an orientation before we drive to a supermarket to stock up with groceries. In the afternoon we have a pleasant drive across the Hunsrueck Mountains to the Mosel river. En route we visit Germany’s oldest city, Trier
     
     
  Day 4:  
  Drive through Luxembourg to Bastogne, Belgium. There we visit the Bastogne Historical Center to learn about the 1944 Battle of the Bulge where American troops were surrounded and held out against heavy odds.

 

 

In the afternoon we drive to the lovely Champagne region in France where we visit a famous Champagne winery in Epernay.

 

  

 
 
 
   
     
  Day 5:  

Today we have a tour of the beautiful Chateau de Fontainebleau – Napoleon’s favorite residence – and its extraordinary parks and gardens.

 

 

 

  
  Day 6:  
On our sightseeing tour we see the highlights of Paris: the Eiffel Tower, the charming boulevard Champs-Elysees, the Arc de Triumph, Place de la Concorde, the magnificent Gothic cathedral of Notre Dame and much more.  
     
  Day 7:  
  On our day at leisure we might visit the world famous Louvre museum, browse the book and antique shops of the Latin Quarter or enjoy a boat cruise on the Seine river .

  Day 8:  
This morning we have a tour of the world famous castle, the Sun King’s splendid and enormous Chateau de Versailles.
     
 

 

In the afternoon we drive to Bayeux and visit the Museum Memorial de la Bataille de Normandie (Museum of D-Day and the landing beaches of Normandy).

  Day 9:  

Today we drive along the Normandy landing beaches and visit the different museums and memorials and the American war cemetery in Colleville (Omaha Beach).
     
     
     
  Day 10:  
 

Guided tour of the tunnels and bunkers of the Azeville battery, a part of the German coastal defences.

 

In the afternoon we visit impressive Mont St. Michel and the famous abbey situated on an offshore rock.

     
     
  Day 11:  

Today we drive along the Loire river to Saumur. From our campground we have an excellent view of the castle. In the afternoon we visit the castle and stroll through the pretty old town, where we  have dinner in a restaurant.
