Day 22

Our scenic route passes through some little towns, settled high up in the mountains of the lovely countryside of Arcadia.

 
 
  At noon we'll arrive in Olympia where the Olympic games were founded in the year 776 B.C.
   
 
We'll see the Hera Altar where the Olympic flame comes from and have a tour of the ancient sports complex  
 
Days 23 + 24    
Then we have to say Good Bye to Greece. In  Patras we enter our luxurious ferry, have one night camping on board and arrive in Ancona (Italy) at noon of day 24. We continue our European motorhome tour with an easy drive to Bologna.    
   
Days 25 + 26

This morning we'll visit Bologna's well preserved center. We'll wander through the vaulted colonnades lined with boutiques and stores before we   see its 'Leaning Towers', great squares and churches.  In the afternoon a short drive brings us to Verona, the city of Romeo and Juliet. On our sightseeing tour the next morning you'll see that famous balcony. But you'll also find out, that Verona has much more to offer than the reminders of a tragic love story! After our sightseeing tour we'll enjoy lunch in a restaurant close to the arena. The afternoon is free for your own explorations.

  

 

 
     
     
 

Day 27

 

On our way along Lago di Garda (Lake Garda) we stop to visit picturesque old villages with  cobbled lanes, squares and tiny harbors.

 
Day 28

Next day we cross the Alps and enjoy spectacular views. In the afternoon we will visit King Ludwig II ' s castle, Linderhof. On our sightseeing tour you will be amazed by the marvellous interior and the beautiful park of this small castle.

 

  
Day 29    
In the morning we'll visit the neat little town of Oberammergau and see the well-known theatre where  the passion play is held every 10 years.    
Day 30 + 31-       
After our guided tour of Wuerzburg there is enough time to pack the suitcases. The next day we have a short drive to Frankfurt where we return the rentals. Our comfortable hotel is located in downtown Frankfurt and you may spend the afternoon doing some shopping before we have our tasty farewell dinner.    
     
Day 32 / Oct. 17th, 2009, return flight (not included)    
After breakfast you get a shuttle to the airport for your flight back to the USA and we have to say Auf Wiedersehen!
