Day 1 / Depart USA Sept. 20th, 2008

Overnight flight USA - Frankfurt /Germany (flight not included)

 
Day 2 / Sept. 21st, 2008 arrival in Frankfurt

We'll greet you at the airport and accompany you to our comfortable hotel in Offenbach. In the evening we'll have a briefing and a hearty German dinner.

Day 3

After breakfast we'll get our fully equipped motorhomes. After an orientation and grocery stop our European motorhome tour adventure takes us on a nice drive to Nuernberg.

Day 4

In the morning we will explore Nuernberg before we drive on the autobahn through the hills of the lovely Bavarian countryside to Salzburg in Austria.

 
       
Day 5

Today we have first a "Sound of Music" tour of Salzburg and its beautiful surroundings including lunch, Then we take the funicular up to the Hohensalzburg for a tour of the fortress and to enjoy the view of Salzburg. After that you are on your own to explore Salzburg, Mozart's birthplace

 
Days  6+7

In the morning we have a scenic drive to Obersalzberg where we leave our motorhomes and take a spectacular bus ride up to Hitler's Eagles Nest.

After that we continue our way through the Alpine mountains to Villach where we spend the night. On the next day we drive through lofty Dolomite Mountains on our way to magical Venice.

 
Days 8+9
 
Savor the sights of this Byzantine city as we take a gondola tour of the canals. Visit the Bridge of Sighs and  St. Mark's Square or see traditional Venetian glass blowers at work in Murano.
 
The next day at noon we board the luxurious ferry which will bring us to Greece. During the cruise on the Adriatic Sea you will enjoy the amenities on board and you may sleep in your motorhome which is hooked up to electricity.

Days 10, 11 + 12
 
After arrival in Greece we have a scenic drive to the little town of Ioannina, located on a lake. Next morning we continue our way through the mountains and arrive at noon in Kastraki, a little settlement located between the natural stone pillars of the Meteora Mountains. In the evening we'll have dinner in the campground restaurant.  You'll never forget the unreal landscape and the view of and from the 24 rock-top monasteries which we will see on our guided sightseeing tour in the morning of day 12
Days 13 + 14  
Hear about the Oracle and enjoy a fascinating tour of the ancient sanctuary of the god, Apollo. The location of Delphi on the slopes of Mount Parnassus makes it  one of the most beautiful ancient Greek sites. The next day we'll have a beautiful drive along the Gulf of Corinth. En route you may visit the little harbor town of Nafpaktos. We cross the Gulf on the new suspension bridge and arrive in the afternoon at our nice campground, located at the beach.
